If you attended PDC in 2003 (or you're attending PDC now and you're holding this book in your hands), you probably received the Technical Preview with the conference's documentation. (Just check the various CDs you received.) If you didn't attend the PDC event in 2003, it will probably be quite difficult for you at present to get your hands on the bits. In my opinion, this won't be possible until 2004, when the Beta will become available for public download. Your best bet is to check the usual web sites, such as www.asp.net, to find out if something changed since this book was printed.
I've tried to include significant screenshots for those of you who won't have the chance to "play around" with the technology while you read this book. This way, you can realize at least offline how the new features work and the changes the innovations bring about.
